Annapurna Base Camp Trek comprises in the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). The trail will follow through the most scenic viewpoint, Poonhill. Alongside the trail, we will have opportunities to observe hilly regions’ peoples’ Gurung, Magar, Kshetri, and Brahmin settlements.  The Mansalu Trekking Route locates in the Manaslu Conservation Area. In this Trekking route, we reach up to 5125m high altitude- Larkepass.  Comparing to other trekking routes listed above, Manaslu Circuit Trekking is a strenuous level trek.

After having drive 7 hours from Kathmandu to Sotikhola, the Trekking route starts from Sotikhola.

9. Upper Mustang Trekking

The upper Mustang Trek is a newer Trekking Route than other routes such as Everest, Annapurna, etc.  Still, it is considered as off-beaten area, restricted, that requires a special permit. However, the journey gives us different experiences than other mountain trekking which listed above.

The upper Mustang region comes across the then Kindom Lo-Manthang. It is known as ” The Last Forbidden Kindom.” After integration, long ago, with Nepal, the King of this nation used to get some kind of ceremonial status. The then King of Nepal used to a lot him that status. Now, after becoming republic Nepal, 2008, both royal families have no more royal status.

Likewise other trekking regions, the Upper Mustang does not offer high mountains, lush vegetation, etc. But it provides a complete mini Tibet experience in terms of language, culture, and practices. It is said that the real Tibetan culture has been preserved in Lo-Manthang.
