Champa Devi, a viewpoint, 2300m, locates in the western foothill of Kathmandu Valley. Champa Devi hiking comprises two activities at a time frame—day 1 hiking and day2 temple and monastery visit. The hiking begins, after driving 40 minutes, from Bhanjyang, Pharping village. The trail leads us through lush pine forest to uphill. We ascend gradual staircases after crossing Hattiban Resort. In three to four hours, we reach to Champadevi, our ultimate destination point.

Champa Devi considers as a holy place among Buddhists and Hindus. However, it looks not very special. There are no big temples or monasteries except for a small shrine.   

From Champadevi, we will view the beautiful Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur city as well as the wide Kathmandu valley. In the north, the Langtang Moutain range including Ganesh Himal spot if there is no haze and cloud.

Having finished a great time in Champa Devi, we descend through a dense forest towards Pharping.  In Pharping, we visit the cave Rigpa, monasteries, and Dakshin Kali Temple.
