Mt. Kanchanjunga stands over 8585m making it the world’s third-highest peak. It is located in the beautiful terrain tugged in the eastern region of Nepal spread over the border with Sikkim. Mt. Kanchanjunga is a massive figure of five different tips that pierce the sky. The locals derive the name Kanchanjunga that means Five Treasures of Snow. Locals believe that the five different mountains are a manifestation of Gold, Silver, Grain, Stone, and Holy Scripture. The mountains are worshiped as the lineage of the gods and resemblance of the blessings to humankind in terms of culture and religion.

Kanchanjunga base camp trekking is situated within the Kanchenjunga Conservation area that covers a vast area of 2035 square kilometers wide land. The trekking route takes you on the journey towards the untamed beauty of Himalayas. The destination is located in one of the remotest areas in the world, where nature showcases its beauty at its best. The trails are off the beaten tracks and usually isolated from the mainstream trekking route. There are fewer crowds meaning, you can enjoy the pureness of the natural beauty without any disturbances and interference of modern shenanigans.

You will be traveling the far-eastern Himalayan part of Nepal which has its own diverse culture and social values. The luxury of modern amenities is nearly non-existing, testing your limits and sharpening your moral and mental abilities to grow the feeling of instant gratitude for everything you have, people you care and all that exist within you. This trek will take into a journey of self-discovery. Hiking through the thick forest, into deep valleys with wild rivers and waterfalls raging through the veins and gorges is similar to meditation. It is highly recommended to the peace seekers and less visited places. It is still considered the best destination for exploratory trekking in the world. Most of everything you see during the trekking is probably a new finding for the world. In addition to that, it offers the best off the beaten route for adrenaline to test their limits.

The route through Arun valley is most recommended for its pure beauty. There are chances of sighting the rare and elusive animals like snow leopard and red pandas.
The trekking to Kanchanjunga base camp begins from Suketar of Taplejung. You will need to obtain a special trekking permit from a government registered trekking company in Nepal to enter in the Kanchenjunga.
