The Everest Base Camp Trek, the most prominent destination point, locates at 5,5380mt, attracts thousands of people. The Mt. Everest came in limelight since 1953. First climbers, duo Mr. Tenzing Norgay, and Sir Edmund Hillary scaled the summit of it. The Everest aka Sagarmatha and its importance subsequently flourished all around the world. In fact, nature decorates it amazingly including the entire trail and region. One should not miss this Natural wonder once in a lifetime.

Everest Base Camp Trek-14 days itinerary combines with one-day city sightseeing. Prior to Trekking, we accompany trekkers to explore UNESCO heritage sites in Kathmandu. We visit four different temples including Hindus and Bauddha and Durbar squares. After having an interesting culture tour, you go to shopping if something you need to buy.

  • Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m) 5 to 6 hours
  • Day 05: Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar: (3,440m)
  • Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m): 10km, 5 – 6 hours
  • Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m): 9km, 5 – 6 hours
  • Day 08: Dingboche: Acclimatization
  • Day 09: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m): 7km, 5-6 hours
  • Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m): 12km, 6-7 hours

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and trip preparation (1,300m)

Upon our arrival in Kathmandu, as per clients arrival detail Go Trek Nepal staff member will be coming to pick up with holding a placard that will state Go Trek Nepal sign at the Kathmandu airport and transfer to the required hotel. In evening, GTN organizes a dinner program in a Nepali culture restaurant, which will be a informal ice-break meeting with trek leader and crews. We will happily welcome any questions that rise up from our valuable clients regarding forthcoming trek.

Day 02: Temples Sightseeing around Kathmandu. (1,300m)

After having breakfast, our tour leader escorts clients to the heritage sites of Kathmandu.1. Swayambhu Nath temple this temple located in the western part of Kathmandu city, known as a monkey temple, on the top of the hill. The monkey temple is a shrine of Buddhist and Hindus. 2. After completing Monkey temple tour, the clients will be escorted to Patan Durbar square towards southern part of Kathmandu. The paten durbar square is built by then Malla dynasties which includes many temples, castle and museum. After finishing tour for 1:30 hours, cliets will have time to have lunch then move to Pashupati Nath Temple. 3. The pashupati Nath temple is located on the bank of Bagmati river, however, non-Hindus are not allowed to get inter into the temple. Whatever rigid rule is, there are lot of thing see and observe Hindus crematory procession. 4. The last not the least temple is Bauddha Nath stupa, the biggest Stupa, including monasteries around, in Nepal. Many Tibetan and other Buddhist devotees are being seen spinning prayer wheels and bowing towards Stupa.

After completing Day tour, clients will have time to get shopping, if there any left and packing for trekking for tomorrows trekking.

Day 03: Fly to Lukla for 35 minutes, trek to Phakding (2,651m) 3 to 4 hours.

Early morning checking out the hotel, clients will be escorted to the domestic airport by our trek leader. During 40 minutes long Dornier aircraft travel, the spectacular views of farms, hills, valleys, forests, and mountains make our flight very much enjoyable. After landing at Lukla, we will meet up with more fellow trekking crews, who will be assisting us to carry baggage during entire trek. We start trekking on semi-down trail and arrive at Chhepulung village then still trek going on toward Phakding. During trail, we will have opportunity to view mount khumbila, beautiful Sherpa villages and their farm. After hours trek, we will arrive in Phakding, where we will be staying overnight at a Teahouse lodge.

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438m) 5 to 6 hours

The trail leads us by crossing Dhudkoshi suspension bridge through a pine forest towards Benkar valley alongside the river bank. During this trail we will cross several villages and tea houses like Monjo, Jorsalle etc. Before arriving at Namche, we will get in check at the Sagarmath National Park entry point. By having enjoyable trek we will arrive at the much fascinating Sherpa settlement in mountain, the Namche Bazaar, known as the gate way of Everest Region Trekking. We will be staying at a Teahouse lodge in Namche bazaar.

Day 05: Acclimatization Day – Namche Bazaar: (3,440m)

Today, it is acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar. We will go to see sunrise early in morning and explore famous viewpoints from where breathtaking mountains such as Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde and more can be viewed. Depending in our time availability and interest, we can make a hike to other beautiful Sherpa settlements and explore nature. After getting back to Lukla from mountain hiking, we can use additional time to explore Namche Bazaar, sending post cards to friends and family back home, checking mails, visiting schools and museum etc.

Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m): 10km, 5 – 6 hours

Having acclimatization and good time in Namche Bazaar, we head towards to Tengboche, today’s overnight camp. The trail follows semi descendent until Dhudkoshi River. Number of spectacular mountains, Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, are waiting for us to present their beauty. After couple of hour’s uphill trail through pine forest, we will arrive in Tengboche where we will stop for night stay. Upon arrival in Tengboche, we have ample to time to stroll around to see world famous Monastery which has been featured in numerous books, magazines and documentary etc. As mountain explorer, we will not miss astonishing views of Everest, Ama Dablam, other peaks and beautiful landscape surrounding location.

Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m): 9km, 5 – 6 hours

The tail follows down to Deboche through a pine forest then we cross Imja River Bridge and get us to Panboche. There is no doubt, the trail rewards us with stunning views of mountain never let down during trek. The trail takes through Imja valley, through alongside the Imja River to Shomare where we stop for lunch. Continuously, the trail moves gradual uphill to Lobuche River and having couple hour ascending from the river we will finally arrive in Dingboche. At Dingboche, the air pressure gets thinner; however, the enticing views of high mountain farmland, grazing animals and surrounding nature makes us joyful. After short exploration, we will stay overnight at Dingboche.

Day 08: Dingboche: Acclimatization

Today, we will be stopping at Dingboche to explore beautiful view points, hiking up to Nagarjuna hill. As the air pressure getting low, we have to acclimatize to get fit into thin air atmosphere. We will have times to walk to explore Chukhung Valley to view more mountain peaks of Amadablam, Cholatse, Makalu, Tawache etc. Moreover, we can observe Sherpa settlement and their livelihood around Dingboche.

Day 09: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4940 m): 7km, 5-6 hours

As usual, we start our hike with gradual uphill trail to Dughla. From Dughla, we climb a steep uphill path to Chupki Lhara, we see waving prayer flags in the memory of Scott Fischer, an American mountaineer, and 10-time Everest submitter Babu Chiri Sherpa, Nepali mountain guide, who lost their life in attempting climb the Everest. Continuously, the trail leads to Khumbu Glacier moraine and amazes us with alluring views of several enormous peaks of Khumbutse, Mahalangur Himal, Lingtren, and Pumori.

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364 m): 12km, 6-7 hours

We are heading towards our ultimate destination to Everest Base Camp. After 3 to 4 hours continues journey we arrive at Gorak Shep, we will book hotel, and leave heavy backpack then go forward to visit Everest Base Camp. The walk will be strenuous due thin air pressure as we will have already been crossed over 5100 Meter. However, our well-trained Trek leader and fellow Sherpa assistant will be caring us in every single moment. The path is pretty sharp rocky we better to be careful viewing beautiful scene side by side being aware of path. Upon reaching our ultimate destination, the Everest Base Camp, we will take group photos for long last memory. The stunning view around base camp will be a perfect feed for us. After spending half any hour or more time of Everest Base Camp exploration we will be heading back to our lodge at Gorakshep for wonderful night stay.

Day 11: Trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) to Pherice (4,288m): 16km, 7-8 hours

Early morning, likely in pre-dawn, we will get ready to visit another famous view point, Kalapathar. The temperature may go down up to -10 to -14 Celsius which is obviously chilly by adding unfriendly winds too. Upon arrival at the view point, exhilarating view of astonishing Mountains and peaks appear at 360 degree angle. After taking group photos, several other position photos and certainly selfies, we will get back to Gorak Shep to prepare return to Phiriche.

After taking lunch we will start descending towards Phiriche and overnight at the a tea house trek for good rest.

Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440m): 20km, 6 – 7 hours

The trail takes us down trail through rhododendron forest. As we will be descending downhill trail, and we may get foot ache and knee sore. So, we better to tread lightly. After crossing Dudhkoshi River Bridge, we will arrive at Sansa village in one and half hour trek we will arrive at Namche that we left in a week ago. We spend overnight stay In Namche Bazaar.

Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft): 19km, 6 – 7 hours

Today will be our last not the least day of Trekking in Everest Region. The trails leads us towards steeply downhill, we may get more foot sore while descending as yesterday downhill trail might get us knee sore. By following same trail, that we made on the first day of our trekking leads us to Lukla. Upon arrival in Lukla, we will have a good time with fellow trekking crews and saying good bye.

Day 14: Fly from Lukl to Kathmandu

We will catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu after a long Everest Trekking. After arriving in Kathmandu, we will have a rest and go to shopping souvenir for friends and family back home. In evening, Go Trek Nepal will organize a farewell dinner which will be a time to share wonderful Everest Base Camp Experience with Go Trek Nepal official, and Go Trek Nepal will provide a recognition certificate of successfully doing Everest Base Camp Trekking.

Day 15: Final departure
