Kathmandu-Lhasa-Kathmandu Tibet Tour 8-day is the most famous, highly demanded, tour. This tour is also known as the “Fly-in, Drive-out Tibet tour.”

Kathmandu-Lhasa-Kathmandu 8-days tour sets off from the heritage sites exploration in Kathmandu. We will experience extremely two different locations—Nepal and Tibet.

After finishing the cultural tour in Kathmandu, we will fly to Lhasa. Lhasa, the administrative capital of Tibet, is a city of wonders. The rapid Chinese development makes Lhasa vibrant with the modern architect. However, palaces, monasteries, and temples are well-preserved as it was before.

Lhasa means “Place of God.” It considers as a Holy Place. Lhasa comprises significant sites; the Potala Palace, Dalai Lama’s former summer palace. Similarly, Jokhang temple, Norbulingka palace, Sera monastery, and Drepung monastery.

On the way-back drive to Kathmandu, simultaneously, the tour combines nature and culture experiences.  The drive on the world’s highest plateau rewards us with spectacular views. There are short-stops at high passes and scenic places. At/from stop-off points, you will view the spectacular scenery of landscapes of glaciers, lakes, mountains, etc. On the southern frontier, between Nepal and Tibet, series of cone shaping mountains provide us additional feed.

The views of farmland, quaint settlements, and grazing live stocks—yaks, Tibetan goats, and sheep herds make our journey worth. Drive on the world-class road on the Tibetan highway will be great fun. However, we will obey frequent security checking at checkpoints. 

Having finished the 7-day tour, 920 kilometers travel, we reach the border town, Kerung. We cross the border, and we will do some immigration formalities then drive to Kathmandu.
