Similarly, it is famous for sacred mountain caves where several Buddhist monks meditate in different times. Tibetan ethnic Buddhist followers visit this valley as a pilgrimage site. This trek will give you a great insight into the secret lives of local cultures residing in the most concealed areas.
Tsum valley trek will take you to the paradise land surrounded by beautiful Mt. Ganesh himal range including Mt. Sringi and Mt. Boudha. The valley is located in such a difficult terrain that it does not receive many travelers. Very few outsiders have been able to reach this promised land and thus many things about the valley are still mysteries. The off the beaten trail offers you a walk of the lifetime on one of the most difficult trails, you will pass through dense forests, crossing raging rivers, amazing waterfalls, mythical villages.
This beautiful trek starts from Arughat as the trails follow through alongside the spectacular river of Budhi Gandaki, passing through dense forests and fascinating villages you walk towards the hidden valley of Tsum. There are small hotels with basic services and facilities. The beauty of the wide landscapes and the cluster villages, however, is something beyond the ordinary.
Arrive in Kathmandu, the bustling capital of Nepal. Our staff member will greet at the airport and transfer to the Hotel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and trek briefing.

A long drive through scenic countryside, passing through Arughat and Soti Khola, brings us to the starting point of our trek in Machhakhola.

A relatively short day of trekking as we make our way deeper into Tsum Valley, passing through pine forests and remote villages with breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal.
Today, we trek through rhododendron forests and cross the Siyar River, ascending to Chhokang Paro, a village surrounded by stunning landscapes and rich in Tibetan culture.
We continue our ascent, visiting monasteries and crossing small villages. The trail offers spectacular views of the Himalayas as we approach Nile, the last village before the Tibetan border.

A short trek takes us to Mu Gompa, the highest point of our trek. Visit the ancient Mu Gompa, explore the surroundings, and soak in the serene atmosphere.

Today, will Spend a day exploring the area around Mu Gompa. You can hike to the nearby Dhephyudonma Gompa, or simply meditate in the tranquil surroundings.

We will return back to Nile, then take a different route to reach Rachen Gompa, a large nunnery where you can learn about the monastic lifestyle.

The trail descend back towards Chumling, enjoying the scenic beauty of the valley and passing through traditional Tsumba villages.

The trail continuously descends along the Siyar River, passing through picturesque landscapes and lush forests until we reach the village of Philim.

The trail takes us further down to Khorlabesi, passing through fields, small settlements, and cascading waterfalls.

Today’s trek brings us back to Soti Khola, where we’ll enjoy a final evening in the mountains.

Accommodation in Tsum Valley is primarily in tea houses and basic lodges. Facilities are simple, offering basic rooms with shared bathrooms. In more remote areas, camping may be necessary,
Yes, you need special permits to trek in Tsum Valley. These include the Tsum Valley Restricted Area Permit and the Manaslu Conservation Area Permit (MCAP). A TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) card is also required.
Due to its remote and restricted nature, solo trekking in Tsum Valley is not recommended. A minimum of two trekkers is required to obtain the necessary permits, and it’s advised to trek with a guide or in a group.
