Day 01: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding (2,562m): 35 min flight, , 3-4 hrs Trek

Day 02: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3,440m): 6-7 Hours Trek

Day 03: Namche Bazaar – rest, acclimatization and exploration day

Day 04: Namche Bazaar – Tengboche (3,870m): km, 5-6 Hours Trek

Day 05: Tengboche – Dingboche (4,360m): 5-6 Hours Trek

Day 06: Dingboche: Rest and acclimatization day

Day 07: Dingboche – Lobuche (4,940m): 5-6 Hours Trek

Day 08: Lobuche – Gorak Shep (5,160m) – Base Camp (5,364m): Gorak Shep, 8- 10 Hours Trek

Day 09: Gorak Shep – Kala Patthar (5,545m) – Pheriche (4,280 m): 8-10 Hours Trek

Day 10: Pheriche – Namche Bazaar (3,440m): 8-9 Hours Trek

Day 11: Namche Bazaar – Lukla (2,780m): 18km, 7-8 Hours Trek

Day 12: Lukla – Kathmandu (1,300m): 35 Minutes Flight

Day-to-Day Itinerary of 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek

01: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding (2,562m): 35 min flight, , 3-4 hrs Trek Day

Early morning, likely at 6, we go to catch a flight at Kathmandu Airport.

 

You will fly to Lukla on first flight. It takes about 35 minutes. During flight you will have breathtaking views of mountains and landscapes.

 

Upon arrival at Lukla you will have breakfast. And meet trekking crews then trek. It is 1st day trekking.

 

After all arrangement, you start mountain trekking. The trail leads you through pine forest and small villages. The trek takes 3 hours to arrive at Phakding. We check in a tea house. You stop overnight. There.

02: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3,440m): 6-7 Hours TrekDay

After having breakfast, the Everest trekking starts again.

 

The trail leads us through pine forest on the bank of Dudhkoshi River. You will cross the river multiple times as the trail cross river and returns again at same direction.

 

Once we arrive at the check point. We will show our permits. The trail goes quite steep hill up to Namche Bazaar almost 2 hours. Overnight stay at Namche.

03: Namche Bazaar – rest, acclimatization and exploration day

In order to get adjust with high altitude; we spend a day at Namche. We have, however, use day time to explore beautiful location around.

 

Trek leader escorts you to sightseeing at some famous view point. If you have ample time, you can visit to another big Sherpa settlement, Khumjung.

 

During our acclimatization day, we will fully enjoy Sherpa culture and mountains views.

Day 04: Namche Bazaar – Tengboche (3,870m): km, 5-6 Hours Trek

We start mountain trekking after having delicious breakfast.

Today’s our stopping point is Tengboche. The trail leads us via uphill and flat. We cross many beautiful villages including Khumjung. Moreover, the breathtaking scene of cone shaping peaks and landscapes are additional feed.

 

Having five hours enjoyable trek, we reach at Tengboche and check to a lodge. Trek leader will escort us to a short sightseeing, visiting Monastery, looking around mountains view.

Day 05: Tengboche – Dingboche (4,360m): 5-6 Hours Trek

This is our 5th day of Everest Base Camp Trekking.

 

In the beginning, the path descends. It goes through pine forest. Along the route, we cross several Manes.

 

The trail goes again up and cross a village, Shomare. We will arrive at Dingboche, the overnight point.

 

Dingboche, famous points for trekkers to stop, locates in Imja Valley. This is yak and goats pasture area. Now, it changed into a trekkers’ hub. Moreover, the mountain views of Amadablam, Cholatse, Tawache give us extra feed

Day 06: Dingboche: Rest and acclimatization day

This day is acclimatization day. It helps you to adjust with upcoming days’ daunting atmosphere.

 

Despite calling rest day, Trek leader will escort you to explore beautiful location around this location.

 

You will go through a ridge. There are 6 more high mountains peaks appear. The view of Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Lhotse, Cholatse and Tawache are stunning. Furthermore, the landscapes of 360 degree get feel you not to leave it forever.
